Terms of service
What you get, what it costs, and who does what.
Written in plain English. Last updated October 5, 2026.
The short version
- Month to month with no contract, or a 3, 6 or 12-month term that comes with a website we build for you, free.
- Nothing goes out to your customers or leads until you approve it.
- The agents never pretend to be people, and they never set prices or bookings on their own.
- Your customers' details are yours. We use them only to run your service.
- Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus GST/HST.
1. Who we are
Boss Partners is operated by Doug OS Inc., an Ontario corporation. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Doug OS Inc. "You" means the business that signs up, and the person who signs up for it.
By signing up or using Boss Partners, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. What you get
- A front desk. An AI agent with its own phone number. It answers your calls and the quote requests from your website, takes down what each customer needs, and sends it to your app and your phone.
- A sales agent. An AI agent that looks for work for you, from past customers and businesses near you, and writes emails for you to approve.
- Your app. Your requests, today's work, your people, drafts and a monthly report, on your phone.
- Setup. We set up your front desk's phone number, train the agents on your business, and put the app on your phone with your company name on it.
3. What the agents do, and what they don't
- They never pretend to be a person. The sales agent signs its emails as an AI assistant, and the front desk says it's AI whenever someone asks.
- They don't confirm prices or bookings. They take down what the customer wants, and you confirm it.
- Nothing the sales agent writes is sent until you approve it. Each follow-up needs your OK too, and it stops as soon as someone replies or asks us to stop.
- AI can get things wrong. A name can be misspelled or a detail missed. Check a request before you act on it.
- The front desk is not an emergency service. Anyone with an emergency should call 911.
4. Prices and paying
- Founding: $149 a month for life, with 7 hours on the phone each month. For the first 25 businesses only.
- Full team: $249 a month, with 10 hours on the phone each month.
- Busy shop: $499 a month, with 20 hours on the phone each month.
- Setup: $99 once, or $59 for the first 25 businesses.
- Term: month to month, or 3, 6 or 12 months. Every term costs the same each month.
Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus GST or HST, depending on your province. You pay for each month at the start of that month.
If we change our prices, we'll tell you at least 30 days before the change. The founding price doesn't change for as long as you stay.
5. Phone hours
- Only time on the phone counts. Website requests, texts, sales drafts and your app are unlimited.
- Your hours start fresh each month. Hours you don't use don't carry over.
- We text you when you've used 80% of your hours, and again at 100%.
- Need more? 5 more hours are $159, or you can move to the Busy shop plan. Nothing is charged without your OK.
- If you'd rather not add hours, the front desk still answers every call. It takes a quick message (who called, their number and what they need) and sends it to your app until your hours start fresh next month.
6. Terms and your website
- Month to month has no contract and no website.
- A 3, 6 or 12-month term costs the same each month, and we build a website for your business at no charge. Founders get it too.
- A term is a promise for its full length. If you leave before your term ends, you pay for the months left on your term.
- We host your website for as long as you're a customer. When your term ends, you carry on month to month at the same price and keep your website.
- If you leave after your term, you can keep your website: $99 a month for 12 months, then $59 a month for 24 months, and then it's yours. The domain name is extra. If you'd rather not, the website comes down when your service ends.
7. Cancelling
- Month to month has no contract. You can cancel any time by email or by phone. For a term, see section 6.
- Service stops at the end of the month you've paid for. We don't refund part of a month.
- Setup isn't refunded.
- The founding price ends if you cancel. If you come back later, the regular price applies.
- The phone number we set up for your front desk stays with us.
- Before your service ends, you can ask us for a copy of your requests and contacts. After it ends, we delete your business's data as our privacy policy describes.
8. Your part
- Give us correct information about your business: what you do, your hours, your area and what you charge. The agents only know what they're given, and you can update it any time.
- Check requests before you act on them, and confirm prices and bookings yourself.
- You decide what gets sent. You're responsible for the messages you approve and for the promises your business makes.
- Follow the laws that apply to your business, including Canada's anti-spam law (CASL). We build the sales agent to follow it: it writes to past customers and to published business addresses, every email says who it's from and how to stop, and anyone who asks to stop is never contacted again.
- Don't use Boss Partners to send spam, mislead anyone or do anything illegal.
9. Your information
- Your customer list, requests and reports belong to you.
- We use them to run your service. We never sell them, and one business never sees another's.
- Our privacy policy explains what we keep, why, and for how long.
10. Your name and logo
They stay yours. You let us use them to run your service: in your app, on your website or card, and in what the agents say. We won't name you as a customer in our own marketing without asking you first.
11. Our software
The software, the agents and the app are ours. You can use them while you're a customer. Please don't copy them, resell them or try to take them apart.
12. Keeping it running
We check the whole system every minute and fix problems fast. Still, we can't promise it will never go down. Phone networks, the internet and the services we rely on can fail.
13. When we can pause or end service
We can pause your service if a payment fails and isn't sorted out within 14 days. We can pause or end it right away if it's used for spam, fraud or anything illegal. Unless it's urgent, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
14. Limits on what we owe
- We aren't responsible for work or money lost because of a missed call, a mistake in a message or request, or an outage.
- If we are responsible for a loss, the most we owe you is what you paid us in the 3 months before it happened.
- Nothing in these terms takes away rights the law gives you that can't be taken away.
15. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll tell you by text or email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you don't agree with the change, you can cancel before then.
16. The law that applies
These terms follow the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If something goes wrong, talk to us first. If we can't sort it out, the courts of Ontario decide.
